Meet Jessica Theary Sim, Fashion Designer of Youtheary Khmer Designs. Plus size model and celebrity stylist, Theary Sim has added fashion designer to her profile. Big things are poppin down in the ATL (Atlanta) for Youtheary Khmer. Find out why.
“I started as an intern in the marketing and promotions department then became a wardrobe stylist for Disturbing Tha Peace Records. I styled video shoots for Lil Scrappy, Ciara, Young Joc and Field Mob to name a few. While attending and receiving my fashion degree from Clark Atlanta University, I was a plus size model for Ford Models in NYC. I’ve also modeled for the likes of Ashley Stewart, Torrid, Macy’s Inc and appeared in Gemini, Essence and Vibe Magazine to name a few. In 2005, I released my own clothing line, Heritage 1985 and Youtheary Khmer Collections. My designs have been worn by celebrities such as Ciara, Lisa Raye, Teairra Marie, Andre 3000 and Eva Pigford.” - Theary

Theary: The name comes from my father; I wanted to create a line that others could related to as my self. Adding a plus size collection was a great way to incorporate everyone and not separate plus size vs. standard size.
Theary: They were loving it. People were real positive, supportive and pushing me hurry and debut the plus size. This was a opportunity for the plus size woman to have clothes offered that was trendy and in style; compared to their limited selection they have in store.
Theary: I design women’s read to wear & plus size. I am known for detailing , and the fabric textures that I use. With the eye seeing the texture on the fabric without having to touch it.

Theary: My wish is to expand globally and for my clothes to be sold in department stores.
